Shandhani Shangstha

Shandhani Shangstha is a non profitable, non government organization. The Main centre of this organization is situated at the village karamdi of Gangni upazilla under Meherpur district. The organization was stablished by the inspiration of Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman on 18 June 1989.

On the primary stage in 1990, it started with the stipend program for the poor & brilliant students, typing training program for the educated unemployed young, sewing training program to create job opportunities for poor & unemployed women. The organization was registered in 1992. To ensure health services of this area, organization started hospital and community based mother & child health education program in 22 July 1995 & established Onnesha Biddaniketon 1999. But in 2005 Onnesha Biddaniketon was Changed to Shandhani School & College.

It started Nutrition & Rehabilitation program in 2002 to remove poverty & to supply nutritious food to the poor and brilliant students and to improve quality of education status by taking up of cow program in 2005. As a partner of Governance Coalition, the financial Support of European Union (DANIDA) Local Governance Starts its activities from 1, December 2006. 9 December 2007 starts its activities Voter and Civic Education and Observation 9th Parliament Election Project. As a partner of Bangladesh NGO Federation starts its activities Health education & sanitation program April 2009.
